Electrical Engineer

Sonas Technical are looking to recruit an Electrical Engineer to join our client a leading multi-disciplined engineering and construction company who provide a wide range of construction services to infrastructure sectors including rail, water, power and natural resources. The successful candidate will join the team in Dublin for projects throughout the region. This is a full-time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities 

• Prepare specifications and scope of work for electrical equipment such as water treatment pumps and blowers, power generators, MCC’s, transformers, instrumentation, data systems
• Prepare electrical power and control cables interconnection block diagrams
• Carry out design calculations for cable-sizing, short circuit calculations, lighting calculations, power balance studying
• Review of electrical layout drawings and instrumentation arrangements
• Interface with our Controls and Automation Teams in the development of Functional Design Specifications.
• Selection, specification and design of process instrumentation and safety instrumented systems

Key Requirements

• 5 years’ experience working in the water industry
• Electrical engineering background
• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent a pre-requisite
• Industrial Instrumentation
