Electrical Project Manager (High Voltage)

Sonas Technical is currently seeking an experienced HV Electrical Project Manager to join a market- leading Irish Electrical Contractor based in Cork. Our client is interested in an Electrical Project Manager to work on several projects within Power & Energy, Substation & Renewables sectors. The successful candidate will receive a package in the region of €70,000 – €80,000 and will have the ability to work remotely when not needed on site.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Project Manager:

• Overseeing the day to day running of the projects and supporting the site team
• Responsible for the execution of works from project start up to completion
• Assist with developing cost control systems, cash flow and overseeing schedules
• Client liaison and business development – including preparation of tenders and work proposals
• Identify and detail all KPI’S and deliverables for the project ensuring these are communicated clearly across all project teams
• Control financial aspects of projects, budget, client invoices, forecasting
• Completing internal project update reports as required
• Manage and develop all Health and Safety aspects of the projects insuring correct implementation of same
• Attend weekly meeting and liaise with clients, design team, quality and upper management across all aspects of the project
• Ensure testing and commissioning is carried out in line with the project’s specific requirements
• Maintaining site books, ensuring O&M’s are completed on time to a high standard

Key Requirements of the Electrical Project Manager:

• Project Management qualifications e.g. CAPM, PMP, Prince
• 8 years’ project management experience
• Strong, demonstrated knowledge in HV/MV projects
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services essential
• Experience working across Power & Energy, Renewables, Substation sector required
• AutoCAD and Solid works experience highly desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Core analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong IT skills coupled with the ability to plan, manage and log information
• Guide and lead a team of engineers, providing consistent feedback, advice and resolving issues
