BIM Engineer

Sonas Technical are currently recruiting a BIM Engineer in Cork to join our client, an international engineering, procurement, construction management, and validation (EPCMV) firm that serves clients in various industries, including advanced technology, life sciences and food & beverage.

Responsibilities: 

• Facilitating BIM project setup and providing support and administration for a multidisciplinary project that spans various application platforms, such as AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, and others.
• Ensuring seamless BIM integration and interoperability among internal design team members and external vendors.
• Managing and maintaining BIM360/ACC models and generating reports in alignment with project specifications.
• Ensuring the compliance of all documentation and models with both internal and client procedures.
• Spearheading coordination meetings involving project stakeholders.
• Taking responsibility for the issuance of BIM documentation.
• Defining the project coordinate system and providing assistance to others in its execution.
• Offering training and mentoring, both on and off the project.
• Leading meetings to resolve any emerging issues.
• Upholding adherence to the BIM Lead RACI framework.

Requirements:

• Relevant level 8 degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in the Life Sciences industry
• Substantial experience within the engineering and construction industry, particularly on medium to large capital projects.
• Proficiency in utilizing BIM software tools, including Revit, NavisWorks, and AutoCAD.
• Effective communication skills, encompassing both verbal and written forms, as well as the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment.
