Sonas Technical are working with one of Ireland’s leading Mechanical, Electrical & Maintenance Contracting Companies on their recruitment of a EHS Advisor to join their team in Dublin. Our client has established themselves as a leading multi-disciplined company and operate across a wide range of business sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Data Centres, Healthcare, and large Commercial Projects. This is an initial 12 month fixed term contract.

  • Conduct regular site audits, observations, and inspections per the Safety Management System and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of statutory inspections for all activities and plant equipment.
  • Collaborate with site supervision to address shortfalls and improvements, reporting findings to the EHS manager.
  • Lead investigations into incidents and accidents, documenting them within the Health and Safety Management System.
  • Accompany and assist in site inspection visits mandated by the Health & Safety Authority.
  • Deliver comprehensive Health & Safety induction programs for new employees and contractors.
  • Manage and recommend Personal Protection Equipment requirements for various activities.
  • Act as a representative at weekly site meetings, meticulously recording minutes.
  • Organize and chair Safety Meetings for Contractor and Sub-Contractors personnel.
  • Ensure availability and assessment of sub-contractor safety statements, documentation, and Method statements.
  • Provide guidance to Site Management in drafting and communicating Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Compile, update, and communicate site Emergency Plans.
  • Conduct inspections of site safety equipment (fire extinguishers, first aid boxes).
  • Collect information for the Safety File, preparing for handover to the Client at project conclusion.
  • Liaise with management for Training requirements.
  • Facilitate toolbox talks for comprehensive safety protocol awareness.
  • Assist with ISO audit compliance and provide health and safety-related support as required.
  • Liaise effectively with main contractors and their site safety teams.
  • Attend department meetings to stay informed and contribute to decision-making.


  • Recognized EHS Qualification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience
  • Previous experience with M&E Contractors on Construction Sites (advantageous)
  • Ability to multitask across multiple sites
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Valid Irish Driver’s license required
  • Valid SAFE PASS and Manual Handling certificates
  • Valid working permit
  • Team Player, demonstrating collaborative work in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
