Lead Process Engineer

Sonas Technical is currently seeking a talented Lead Process Engineer to join our client, a prominent EPCM firm. This role is of great importance to the company and offers an outstanding compensation package, inclusive of generous annual leave and contributions towards CPD (Continuous Professional Development).

Requirements:

• Possess a degree in Chemical Engineering or Processing Engineering.
• Demonstrate a minimum of 8 years of engineering and design experience.
• Hold at least 3 years of experience in engineering design for life science, biotech, or related projects as a facilities/plants engineer or consulting engineer.
• Exhibit strong teamwork skills with effective written and verbal communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities:

• Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), data sheets, and size specifications for Equipment & Instruments.
• Generate load calculations and equipment sizing, oversee physical system layouts, edit specifications, and prepare design drawings.
• Collaborate on process system interfaces, engaging with project management, vendors, and clients in the biopharmaceutical sector.
• Execute process engineering studies, compile comprehensive reports and calculations.
• Apply expertise in industry codes and best practices.
• Update Safety in Design specifications relevant to Process Engineering.
• Maintain commitment to safety philosophy and outcomes within assigned project areas.
• Verify design consistency with industry-accepted standards, advanced technologies, and client preferences.
• Contribute to the development of the Process Knowledge Centre, utilizing existing data.
• Actively participate in self-improvement seminars to enhance skills as assigned by the Discipline Director.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control tasks for projects led by discipline leads.
• Support corporate and discipline-specific procedures and policies.
• Foster collaboration with global and European engineering teams.
