MEP Quantity Surveyor

Sonas Technical is currently seeking a MEP Quantity Surveyor to join our client, a prominent EPCM firm in Maynooth. This role includes an 11/3 rotation to projects in Europe and offers a generous relocation package, along with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Process, or HVAC systems.
• BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related construction field.
• Experience in data center projects is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Understanding of drawings, project scope, and cost drivers in construction.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and logical abilities.
• Familiarity with construction methodology and project scheduling.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to grow and develop in the role.
• Team player.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare measures and tender documentation for various Engineering projects.
• Quantify and manage costs for large-scale building services, focusing on Electrical, Mechanical, Process, and HVAC systems.
• Generate standard documentation using established company procedures.
• Efficiently coordinate and manage all tender-related activities and responses.
• Collaborate with bidders on tenders, ensuring clear communication of key timelines and bid scope.
• Perform tender analysis and reporting.
• Assist in the placement of Recommendations to Award and Contracts.
• Prepare and analyze Monthly Valuations.
• Handle preparation, measurement, and analysis of Variations.
• Collaborate with other contract disciplines such as Engineers, Architects, and Project Managers.
• Aid in negotiation processes.
• Demonstrate skills and capabilities effectively.
• Aspire to become a professional member of the RICS or other recognized professional commercial management organization.
