Process Engineer

Sonas Technical are looking to recruit a Process Engineer to join our client, a leading EPCM firm. This is a key hire for the company. They are looking for a PAYE hire and offer a strong renumeration package with generous annual leave and contributions towards CPD.

Responsibilities:

• Create process flow diagrams (PFD’s), process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s), data sheets, and sizing specifications for Equipment & Instruments.
• Generate calculations for equipment loads and sizing, plan physical layout of systems, edit specifications, and prepare design drawings.
• Coordinate interfaces within process systems, interacting with project management, vendors, and clients in the biopharmaceutical and High-Tech Infrastructure industries.
• Perform process engineering studies, prepare reports and calculations, ensuring adherence to industry codes and standards.
• Oversee safety aspects and outcomes within designated project areas.
• Verify design alignment with industry best practices, leading technologies, and client preferences.
• Contribute to the development of the Process Knowledge Centre, utilizing established resources.
• Attend training for skill enhancement as directed by the Discipline Director.
• Provide QA/QC support for projects led by discipline leads.
• Collaborate actively with global and European engineering teams.

Requirements:

• Holds a Chemical Engineering or relevant Engineering Degree.
• Possesses a minimum of 4 years of engineering experience.
• Holds at least 3 years of experience in engineering design for life science, biotech, or related projects as a facilities/plants engineer or consulting engineer.
• Displays strong teamwork skills, effective interpersonal communication in both written and verbal forms.
• Detail-oriented with a keen focus.
• Willingness to undertake occasional travel.
