Our client, a global engineering, procurement, construction management, and validation (EPCMV) firm that serves clients in various industries, including advanced technology, life sciences, and food and beverage are currently searching for a Project Scheduler in Cork. Our client offer a range of services, from project management to process design and construction, and focus on delivering innovative solutions that meet their clients’ specific needs. The successful candidate will receive an excellent remuneration package and work on a multi million pharmaceutical project.
- Collaborate in the development of project schedules, ensuring they are accurate and feasible for successful project execution.
- Monitor and oversee project schedules to maintain the integrity of critical paths and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of critical paths and constraints, working closely with teams to refine schedules and explore alternative options.
- Apply industry best practices, tools, and techniques to estimate task durations effectively.
- Validate optimized schedules to align with project objectives and desired outcomes.
- Regularly evaluate project schedule progress, monitor milestones, and identify critical tasks to ensure project milestones are met.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot schedule issues, addressing emerging problem areas promptly and effectively.
- Maintain a structured schedule change management process, ensuring changes are appropriately documented and implemented.
- Generate targeted schedule reports tailored to coordination and performance tracking needs, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
- Load resources into schedules to support effective project resource management.
- Facilitate Interactive Planning sessions, fostering collaboration and alignment among project team members.
- Provide assistance to the project manager in effectively managing project time aspects.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance scheduling methodology and tools to drive efficiency and improve project outcomes.
- Hold a third-level degree, preferably in project management or a related field (or equivalent, such as PMI Certification).
- Possess a strong understanding of project schedules in complex environments, with a keen attention to detail.
- Have 3-5 years of experience within the life science industry or a similar sector, demonstrating expertise in project scheduling and management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address schedule-related challenges proactively.
- Proficient in utilizing project scheduling tools and software, staying updated with industry advancements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and facilitate productive planning sessions.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive mindset and a continuous improvement mindset to drive the enhancement of scheduling practices and tools.
- Ability to work in a hybrid/remote work environment, with occasional site visits as required.
