Senior Mechanical Design Engineer | Waterford

Sonas Technical are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work with our client, a Project Management Consultancy based in Waterford.  The lucky person will take lead of a design team and work directly with clients and senior management on multi million industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the design to construction elements of the Mechanical and Process elements
• Ensure Piping & Engineering standards are complied with throughout the installation
• Ensure that all Mechanical components are procured and delivered as per design specifications
• Answer RFIs’s from the Mechanical Contractor
• Provide all supporting Mechanical details for CQV team to prepare Qualification documentation
• Ensure contractor turnover packs are right first time
• Development of P&ID’s for HVAC and utilities systems through all design stages: Conceptual, Preliminary and Detailed engineering
• Specification of mechanical plant and piping

Key Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering degree required
• 5+ years experience in life science
• Demonstrate technical leadership and assurance services to our clients and project teams
• Able to demonstrate management of changing deadlines and priorities
• Outgoing personality with a strong desire to learn
• Is a self-starter, can manage multiple tasks, and work with minimal supervision
• Strong Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet)
