CAD Technician

Job Title: CAD Technician Location: Cork

Company Overview: Our client is a premier utility contractor, specializing in the maintenance and construction of Electrical and Telecommunications infrastructure. They are currently seeking a CAD Technician to join their team in Cork. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing design support to the Engineering Department, using AutoCAD/GIS/Revit software.

Responsibilities:

As a CAD Technician, your responsibilities will include:

1. AutoCAD/GIS/Revit Support: Providing support in AutoCAD/GIS/Revit, including the completion of on-site surveys, survey drawings, architectural and engineering design drawings, and work related to grid connections and associated infrastructure design.
2. Quality Standards: Ensuring knowledge and adherence to the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001, and applying associated procedures where necessary.
3. Utility Mapping: Preparing utility mapping and integrating mapping with GIS systems.
4. Planning Applications: Compiling planning applications and section 5 exemption applications as required.
5. Tender Submissions: Assisting in the compilation of tender submission documents.
6. Data Processing: Processing survey and utility data in various formats (2D and 3D) using software such as AutoCAD, GIS, Revit, and Civil 3D.

Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should have:

• 5 years in a similar role.
• Expertise in AutoCAD/GIS/Revit software.
• Design experience in the utilities sector is advantageous.
