Our client, is currently on the lookout for a Civil Site Manager in Dublin. The client in question are industry leaders in Mission Critical facilities, Renewable Developers, Transmission and Distribution Utilities. The successful candidate will be joining the team in Dublin. This is a full time, permanent position, with great scope for career progression.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the execution of project activities according to the project program.
- Conduct daily task briefings to the project team.
- Serve as the safety representative for H&MV Engineering, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Review, update, and approve method statements and risk assessments.
- Record and report safety hazard observations, taking necessary actions for closure or escalation.
- Manage and maintain project documentation on site.
- Interface with the client site manager to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Participate in weekly progress meetings and monthly project review meetings with the project manager.
- Escalate any site issues to the regional operations manager and project manager for resolution.
- Ensure the site setup and appearance meet the standards set by H&MV Engineering.
- Assist the project manager with procurement scheduling and implementation.
- Take commercial responsibility for the project, ensuring adherence to budgets.
- Conduct quality audits on subcontractors to maintain high standards.
- Ensure the availability of competent resources throughout the project.
- Assist the project manager in maintaining the project program and achieving milestones.
- Issue early warning notices as required, following client standards.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in civil management within the utility/contractor/consultant industry.
- Exposure to HV power stations and substations is highly desirable.
- International experience is a plus.
- Strong people management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid commercial acumen.
- Ability to work well in a team and demonstrate proactive initiative.
