Our client, one of the leading renewable energy solution providers is currently looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team in Tipperary.


Reporting to the Managing Director and a member of the leadership team the Contracts Manager has the overall responsibility for Commercial Solar PV Projects, including costing and installation. They will provide assurance that projects are costed accurately and then delivered on time and to budget whilst ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the project in the preparation phase, including site team definition, documentation review and validation, procurement of all equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Manage the execution of one or several PV Solar projects safely and within schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Achieve project completion on time, under budget, and with the highest Quality and HSA standards.
  • Lead and ensure compliance with all Health and Safety requirements.
  • Lead and take full responsibility for all Project controls processes: cost controls, contract management, and scheduling.
  • Lead the project team members both within the organisation and contractors.
  • Effectively communicate with all project stakeholders, provide project progress and possible alternative plans to recuperate possible project deviations.
  • Directly interface with the Client at the project level on key contracts
  • Identify the sources of likely problems and proactively take preventive measures to avoid any potential project risks and determine response actions to mitigate any negative impact (always have a plan B).
  • Deliver Projects in line with project contractual obligations.
  • Project reporting (internal and external).
  • Establish cost report and KPIs for control of the project.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related)
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience with medium to large-size electrical/mechanical projects (preferably in the energy sector)
  • Qualification in Project Management or PMP is a plus
  • Experience in Contract, Risk, and Procurement Management
  • Deep knowledge of Project controls (cost controls, contract management, and scheduling)
  • Working knowledge of planning software
  • HSE & Quality Management – Compliance with policies and procedures.
