Job Opportunity: Senior/Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer (Hybrid Model)

About the Role:

In this role, you will be at the forefront of technical innovation, working closely with a diverse team that includes managers, engineers, internal and external collaborators, suppliers, and valued clients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and report on the electrical condition of various sites.
• Evaluate client specifications for precision.
• Create meticulous Electrical Technical Designs & Submissions.
• Collaborate with clients to define project scopes.
• Develop designs and precise cost estimations.
• Engineer electrical distribution systems, encompassing Single Line diagrams and load schedules.
• Design instrumentation solutions, including component selection, termination details, and cabling requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive Cable Calculations & Schedules.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other departments, such as design, contracts, control & automation, as needed.
• Maintain open communication with clients.
• Proficiency in panel schematics and wiring diagram updates.
• Craft Control Philosophies.
• Adhere to IS, EN, BS & IEC standards.
• Procure necessary items to ensure project completion.
• Develop timelines from contract award to project handover, managing all installations and documentation.
• Contribute to method statements, risk assessments, and commissioning schedules.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Familiarity with the Water and Wastewater treatment industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to interpret and revise Electrical drawings and Schematics.
• Strong grasp of current Electrical Regulations and Standards.
• Proficiency in reading various drawings, including P&ID’s and layout drawings.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Robust engineering, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Collaborative mindset for effective teamwork.
• CAD knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to present information effectively.
• Experience in Project Engineering, Site Management, M&E Installation, Personnel Management, and Water &/or Wastewater industry exposure is beneficial.

Educational Requirements:

One of the following is essential:

• Third-level Electrical Engineering degree or diploma, or Trade Qualification with relevant experience.
• Similar relevant third-level qualification and experience will be considered.
