Our client, a leading Civils & Utilities Contractor is currently seeking a Electrical Engineer to join their team in Dublin. The client in question are on of Ireland’s leading Utilities Contractors pipeline of projects worth over €100m across Dublin for the next 11 years. Projects range from 38kv up to 110kv. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Take charge of planning and supervising electrical projects, involving budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Perform tests on electrical systems and components, identifying and resolving issues.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Research and Development: Engage in research to stay abreast of new technologies and integrate innovations into projects.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that electrical systems adhere to safety standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineers and professionals in multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for electrical designs, specifications, and project plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction in electrical systems and processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience in producing Risk assessments and Method Statements.
  • A background in quality assurance is desirable.
  • Commissioning experience on electrical systems, preferably with EV Charger equipment.
  • Good IT skills, proficiency in CAD is desirable.
  • Proficient in Work Management Systems (WMS).
  • Possession of a full clean driver’s license is essential.
  • Ability to travel and conduct site surveys.
  • Experience in civil works is desirable.
  • Manpower management and reporting skills.
  • Confidence, motivation, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
  • Effective time management skills to meet targets.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrates integrity and maintains respect for confidentiality and privacy.
