Our client are seeking and Electrical Engineering Lead to develop and lead the engagement with our process and pharmaceutical clients as they look to review and implement changes in energy usage within their facilities, and the resulting changes required to their electrical systems on-site. The successful candidate will work with clients to identify large-scale opportunities to deploy renewable energy technologies at their facilities and identify the MV electrical works required to upgrade and integrate such technology into their facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying potential opportunities for the deployment of wind turbines and ground mounted solar PV installations at client sites
- Determining processes which could be shifted from gas to electrical energy
- Undertaking preliminary MV electrical designs to determine practical, cost-effective solutions
- Preparing feasibility studies and option costs
- Engaging with supply chain on delivering solutions
- Engaging and managing civil and other consultants required for the project
- Engaging with ESB Networks and local planning authorities where required
- Providing the client with the technical assistance for their internal approval process
- Leading detailed costing exercises
- Ensuring seamless handover of project to Operations team for construction. Remain a key contact point for the client throughout the works until handover.
- Ensuring Mainline commitments are delivered on time and within budget
- Ensuring health and safety considerations and regulations are considered and incorporated at all stages
- The mentoring and development of more junior staff
Key Skills:
- A primary degree in Electrical Engineering
- Suitable similar experience is desirable.
- Previous experience of MV/HV electrical infrastructure within process / pharmaceutical environments
- Previous experience of interfacing with ESB Networks is desirable.
- Previous experience with grid connections and renewable energy is an advantage
- Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office packages, including diagnostic skills, and familiarity with Auto-CAD or similar is preferred
