Our client, is currently on the lookout for a Electrical Foreman to join their team in Clare.
Our client are a Electrical Contractor dealing with all things Appliances, Electrical, and Electronics Manufacturing related. Specializing in mainly commercial and industrial projects. This is a full time, permanent position, with great scope for career progression.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of electricians on site, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Coordinate daily activities and assign tasks to electricians, ensuring effective utilization of resources and meeting project timelines.
- Interpret electrical blueprints, drawings, and specifications to guide the installation and wiring of electrical systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure the accuracy, functionality, and safety of electrical installations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to plan and schedule work activities, including material and equipment requirements.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other trades to ensure smooth coordination and integration of electrical work with overall project activities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise on site, escalating issues to higher management as necessary.
- Monitor and manage the inventory of electrical materials, tools, and equipment, coordinating procurement and ensuring availability as needed.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and open communication among team members.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Foreman or in a similar leadership role on construction sites.
- Journeyman or Master Electrician certification is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and wiring practices.
- In-depth understanding of electrical codes, regulations, and safety practices.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of electricians.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
