Our client, is currently on the lookout for a HV Estimator in Limerick. The client in question are industry leaders in Mission Critical facilities, Renewable Developers, Transmission and Distribution Utilities. The successful candidate will be joining the team in Limerick. This is a full time, permanent position, with great scope for career progression.
- Conduct tendering processes for a diverse range of medium to large-scale projects (132-400kv) across various sectors such as utilities, renewables, industry, pharmaceutical, and data centers.
- Collaborate closely with external vendors and suppliers, maintaining regular engagement to ensure effective communication and negotiation.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients, and industry contacts, facilitating smooth collaboration throughout the tendering process.
- Take charge of overseeing the comprehensive analysis of tender costs versus construction costs, ensuring accuracy and reliability in cost estimation.
- Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to junior team members, assisting in their professional development and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Proactively identify and communicate any changes in project value or potential issues that may impact project delivery or financial performance to clients and senior management.
- Prepare and present regular reports related to tendering activities, including progress updates, budget analysis, and risk assessment.
- Collaborate with business development personnel and key team members in the tendering department to ensure smooth tender upload and submission processes.
- Exhibit strong time management skills to meet strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Possess an electrical trade qualification or relevant third-level qualification, demonstrating a solid foundation in the electrical engineering field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, showcasing a comprehensive understanding of tendering processes and project estimation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or other relevant software applications, enabling accurate cost calculations and data analysis.
- Display strong people management skills, fostering effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration within the estimating team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
- Demonstrate a proactive and results-oriented mindset, showcasing initiative and taking ownership of tasks and projects.
- Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in tender documentation and cost estimation.
- Ability to consistently meet and exceed targets, while adhering to strict deadlines and managing competing priorities effectively.
