ICP Project Manager

Our client is seeking an ICP Project Manager to join their team in Aylesford. Our client provide specialist energy services to the industrial and utility sectors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver connections on time and within budget
• Manage companies responsibilities under the CDM Regulations
• Review the contract Programme to ensure that it reflects the requirements of the contract and properly identifies the contract scope of works
• Ensure the preliminary items necessary for setting up site
• Receive all the contract documents at the handover meeting
• Responsible for site safety on the project. It is the EHS departments responsibility to audit existing safety procedures that are in place and advise on all safety aspects of the project.
• Support the team to ensure on time delivery of projects, within budget, to the highest quality standards, meeting Health and Safety requirements
• For Client interface on all issues. This may be delegated by PM depending on project
• Hold project meetings weekly with the following topics covered safety, finance, programme, design, site teams to ensure all areas are coordinated and all team briefed on project progress
• First point of escalation for client and internal teams
• Project Resources & performance of resources throughout entire project
• Review project safety at all times with company safety representative
• Review project QA for entire project civil/electrical
• Carry out quality audits on Sub Contractors
• Design Review
• Ensure adequate competent resources are available throughout the project
• Overall ownership of the programme and ensure milestones are achieved for entire project
• Issue early warning notices as required
• For being point of contact within company on project

Requirements

• Previous ICP experience
• Electrical Engineering apprenticeship, ONC diploma or degree, extensive relevant experience.
• Experience 5 years+ construction/engineering experience, with years as a Project Engineer working on HV assets.
• High voltage asset management experience, ideally within distribution and/or generation, transmission, or utilities.
• Experience in acting as single point of contact.
• Good commercial awareness.
• Ability to define and work within a detailed budget.
• Team Management and development.
• Strong engineering/technical leadership.
• Flexibility and exceptional communication skills.
• Able to work under pressure and perform only evidence-based decision making.
• Ability to identify and manage risk, and prioritise without losing sight of overall plans and priorities.
• Stakeholder, Contract and Team Management.
• Computer literacy with working knowledge of MS Office. SharePoint experience advantageous.
