Our client is seeking a Materials Coordinator to join their team in Limerick. Our client is a premier utility contractor, specialising in the maintenance and construction of Electrical and Telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain inventory control systems to accurately track stock levels, ensuring adequate materials availability without excessive overstocking.
- Conduct regular inventory audits across all yards and crews on site to identify discrepancies and take corrective actions to resolve them promptly.
- Implement and enforce stock management policies and procedures
- Forecast demand and plan inventory levels based on production schedules, historical data, and market trends.
- Oversee the logistics and distribution of materials to various yards and crews on site.
- Lead and motivate the materials management team, providing guidance and support in achieving departmental and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with commercial team to anticipate material needs.
- Propose and implement process enhancements to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Materials Manager or in a similar supply chain management role.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory management, procurement, and logistics principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and inventory management software systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Leadership abilities and experience in managing teams.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording and documenting stock data.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of safety and security measures related to inventory management.
