We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Finance & Operations Manager on a part-time basis to join our highly-respected, growing firm Sonas Technical. Based at our headquarters in Naas, Co. Kildare, we specialise in working with leading engineering, advanced manufacturing and life sciences companies across Ireland, the UK, Europe, New Zealand and Australia.

Our Benefits 

  • Hybrid working – We need someone based a commutable distance from Naas, who work with us in our Naas office 3 days per week Monday, Wednesday & Friday (Tuesdays when a Bank Holiday).
  • Flexible hours: Core hours are 9:00 am to 4:30 pm with the option for flexible working outside of those times to make up your working week as agreed with your Line Manager. 
  • Team & Client Events: – throughout the year we participate in different social and client events that you can participate in. 

The Opportunity 

We are seeking a proactive, ambitious and energetic Finance & Operations Manager ready to tackle any challenge that comes their way and who can hit the ground running. We need someone who is looking to work in a fast-paced and very changeable environment in an expanding team – and who’ll enjoy being the go-to person for keeping the business operations in step with that growth. 

What You’ll Do all day 

  • Ensure the smooth operations of all aspects of the business as we scale, working closely with the directors working on wide variety of tasks when required. 
  • Management and development of the admin function.
  • Reconciling of accounts
  • Provide accurate cash forecasting and management
  • Ensure statutory compliance, and preparation and filing of returns
  • Ensure tax compliance of the business
  • Dealing and negotiating with external parties such as auditors, banks, insurers etc.
  • Management and continuous development of all business reporting processes, KPIs and related controls
  • Support senior management in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans
  • Commercially aware, understanding and anticipating the needs of both operations, consulting services and management

What we need from you 

  • 5 years + experience within a similar role
  • A relevant 3rd level financial qualification
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. 
  • High level of efficiency around IT related tasks is essential. We are a technology forward and data driven company utilising the Microsoft suite, project management tools, analytics and databases daily.  
  • Goal orientated and process minded, with a driven nature for achieving positive outcomes and results within deadlines. 
  • A can-do attitude, resilient under pressure, with the ability to cope with change that’s inevitable within a growing business 
  • A growth mindset and a belief that you can improve your abilities through effort, learning, and persistence 
  • Personable individual who prospers in small team environments. 
  • Meticulous attention to detail skills with the ability to multi-task, organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
